My grandfather, a hard-working retired man that spent 14 hours a day outside in his garden, maintaining vegetables and fruit, was diagnosed with lungcancer at the age of 77, causing him to stay in bed for 24 hours a day.

"23 years too early", he said.

A young man in an old body that had an amazing lust for life and a genuine love for nature combined with his personal goal to maintain it, was now a broken man, out of breath by just sitting straight.

But his physical weakness was immensely compensated by mental strenght. He accepted our tears, and answered with jokes slightly unfit for the circumstances being, through which we couldn't withhold our tears of joy and laughter.

Until the very end.
